The use of audiovisual documents in academic work questions the difficulties that students may encounter in their online research practice and in the use of the selected videos. Fourteen collective student files were analysed, along with a questionnaire on their working methods. The results show an absence of standardised citations and bibliography, an impact of the number of videos inserted, a preponderance of surface representations and few reformulation of content. A discussion on the scope of recommendations that can be made with regard to platforms disseminating online knowledge via videos and in-game pedagogical aspects is proposed.
