Many authors show the importance of teacher’s motivation in continuous professional development. The goal of this study is to research the determinants for motivation in continuous professional development, using the theory of self-determination as a base. The analysis of the collected data using an open and closed questions questionnary indicate the support for autonomy, accomplishment and social membership, as well as the pertinence of the formation activities proposed are the main determinants of motivation for teacher’s professional development.
