This field research was carried out at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées in Toulouse. It studied the impact of technologies deployed in a collaborative setting over French students’ written skills in English. We assume that the use of specific multimedia tools facilitates the acquisition of the report-writing technique. Furthermore, we set that a learning environment that integrates the human dimension is to lead to improved written skills. We assessed the students’progress by comparing the reports that the control group and the test groups produced at the beginning and at the end of the course. Our criteria were both quantitative and qualitative. As we result, we record some specific progress.
